Here is another spectacular work by the artist Zimin. The title of this box is "Snow Queen" and very well done. The box features three scenes right on top of each other as you can see on the sides of the box you can see two girls faces staring at the Snow Queen who is in the middle of the box overseeing the village. There is a girl standing on the steps pondering her thoughts as the ice crystals are forming. The box stands out as it is 3-D looking with the mother of pearl effect worked into the artwork. The sides of the box is all lined with beautiful decor and is lacquered with the color gray making the bottom of the box look like a marble finish but is a very beautiful lacquer. The artist Zimin is a graduate of the Fedoskino School of Lacquer miniatures
The box is hand painted completely by hand by the artist Zimin. The size of the box is 7.75 x 6 x 2 inches (19.5 x 15 x 5 cm).
