A Russian Lacquer Box handpainted by the artist Krasnov. Krasnov is a graduate of the Palekh art school for lacquer boxes the second oldest of the four schools. This box is titled "Mermaid" and is handpainted completely by the artist Krasnov. The box features the traditional colors of Palekh black and orange. As you can see the mermaid is at home with her freinds the jellyfish and the octopus in the sea. The box is finished with an exquisite lacquer finish to go with the beautiful artwork on the lacquer box. The Box is signed by the artist Krasnov and is 7 x 4.125 x 1.50 inches.
