The very famous and extremely hard to find artist Kalinin, here he recreates the Russian family life.  The artist is found, and more examples of old work, on pages 64-65 of "Russian Matrrjoshka" by Elena Filippova...only edition.  His work represents the Abramtsevo Art School's technique of original art of the Matryoshka.  Excellent in this style of work, colors and details are closely tied to the original art. This is a 10 piece set. Size:  9 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter.
