This lacquer box, by Zimin of Fedoskino, is the artists' creation of the famous Russian fairytale, "Ivan and the Gray Wolf".  Ivan on wolfback riding through the forrest, carrying his maiden away from all danger.  The finished details and colors, with the mother-of-pearl mix, brings out an excellent work of art by this artist.  Size:  6 by 7.5 by 2.25 inches.
